Sometimes items do not sell at auction - this could be for a number of reasons (not enough lead time, wrong time of day/month, buyers missed advertising, website bidding issues, collectors missing the auction.) There’s nothing wrong with the items - they just didn’t find their buyer.
Often I will re-list the unsold items in the next auction (and many will sell, sometimes for much, much higher than the reserve - it’s just a matter of finding the right buyer (or preferably two or three buyers) who want that particular item at that particular time and can afford it. The work is already done (listing descriptions, imaging, spreadsheet work) so it’s just a matter of a few minutes extra work to do so.
(I remember in particular a set of sterling silver art rounds that didn’t sell for three auctions, then suddenly there was intense competition for them. They ended up selling for about 5 times the reserve price - a price they could have been purchased for three times before!)
This page is for items that did not sell during my last auction. They will be available for sale until the next auction is posted and live, at which time I will take down this listing until the end of that auction.
